I don't think creating a new password/security system with a central heirarchy is a good idea at all; not only for the weaknesses that are inherited in all centrally focused systems (government/internal abuse, a much more attractive target for hackers that would lead to bigger problems than TPU...
I think the .1 gives away how incremental an update this is (and thus how unimportant it really is, save a crude attempt to get those that want 'the latest and greatest' to upgrade).
Win 7 still does everything fine so (as I've stated elsewhere) I won't be moving up anytime soon (watching...
While I do have plenty of RAM storage space, making a program that unnecessarily eats it up (just because I have it and some others do not) is lazy coding at best. :nutkick:
Less stuff in RAM means less stuff that can bring down a web browser (or any other program for that matter), ignoring...
Maybe one day I'll give Win8 a play with (in a VM of course); otherwise things will be as normal for me with Win 7 as I have no need to upgrade.
Sure Win 8 may have its advantages for other people; but there isn't a compelling reason for "me" to upgrade to it (the touch screen advantages would...
No Ports, No DRM, No BS = Sold
In before thread cooks itself into a debate on piracy. :p
Nice poster but I will skip GTAV if it comes to PC in as terrible a port as IV was (on top of the DRM and other "goodies" (/sarcasm) along with it :banghead: ).
That's actually not bad for the low end market (I mean counting pennies/cents low end), would be perfect with Non-For-Profit organisations also IMO. Choice of FM1 socket makes sense for this market segment also as the FM1 socket AMD APUs will get cheaper as FM2 launches.
Unless it: boots up, makes my coffee and digs up a million ounces of Gold in less time to mention it; I don't care how fast it loads. :p
I'm sitting this one out (like I did Vista) and maybe I'll consider Win 9 unless a Linux distro can install and run games with as many (less would be...
A bit pricey but a good start, 120Hz or higher refresh rate (not for 3D; and I will not be drawn into a debate over human interaction to higher refresh rates) would have sealed the deal IMO. :)
