Hello,
Currently on the process of upgrading, I bought the motherboard back in August and seldomly used it due to work. I have all of the mostly unused accessories, and kept it in a smoke/pet free home.
Asking 150$ shipped via 2 day priority shipping. SOLD for $130
Heatware under: warup89...
Being Intel and how big they are, I'm sure the initial shortage will be short and supply will meet demand thus maintaining msrp.
Very nice chip with an alright amount of extra performance if overclocked. Well at least you can still use the same ram after changing motherboards.
Honestly that is the one generation I didn't kept for long owned a 6950 for a couple of months to a 7990 for another couple of months. But looking back, you are right. Hopefully this proves to be the case for this gen.
I know I'm not adding much to this thread...
But ever since the Vega line came out, I noticed the term "fine wine" among others, become popular mainly to defend or justify this line. Coming from ATI radeon 9800 pro up to 295x2 I never really noticed anything more than +/-10% of improvements...
True, waiting to see results and overclock would be a good idea since that's another factor I look for. Ssd wise, there's a difference just not as noticeable, but then again I haven't use it to its full potential.
I was even thinking of waiting for cannon lake(?) since I know this 7700k will hold up decently till then but I believe I will get the most money back if I sell my current hardware now. Nevertheless, I don't know if it worth doing it now for the extra cash.
Hey guys,
I recently upgraded from a 3930k/32gb ram/256gb 850pro to a 7700k/16gb ram/1tb 960pro, due to not using my PC for work anymore (for now) and just web browsing, online homework, and very light gaming.
I recently saw that the 8700k will be out very soon and was wondering if I should...
