    Don't listen to them. Just UNINSTALL Battlefield 2 and INSTALL it again. The game preserves the configuration of your old videocard, that's what's happening.

    C3D X800GTO Buzzing

    Try this: Overclock the videocard with ATi Tool so much to make it show artifacts. Check if the noise comes exactly at the time the artifact is showed. That's what happened with my 9600PRO and my 300W PSU. I replaced the PSU and everything works fine now, no buzzing when I oc my card.

    Oh, I forgot... That black squares you are indicating are called 'transfer resistor' and it regulates the voltage that goes by your card. I'm omitting that you are providing your card with the stock voltage... Do you?

    It's your PSU. It doesn't give the videocard enough voltage to keep it running at normal values. Beware, it's just a theory.
