I wouldn't have imagined it to be the drivers either. That installing them prior to the switch would make a difference but it DID.
I just restarted, flipped the switch, re-installed drivers, restarted again, disabled AMD Overdrive because it takes all the updates of Sapphire Trixx and...
Now you bring up an interesting idea, should i be re-installing drivers AFTER the bios is switched physically on the card? Or when i install them the first time is that it for driver install?
I recently just purchased 2x Sapphire Toxic 6950 2GB video cards. I installed them today, installed most up to date BIOS on my motherboard, Installed most up to date Drivers + Profiles patch, Installed Sapphire Trixx (I don't think i like this tool much but more on that later), and went to look...
Done! I decided to disassemble the homegroup afterall, went in and manually shared all folders with "everyone" and connected back through my main computer and i was able to do copies of 150mbs, and was able to stream a .iso file (game) from my HTPC onto my Dameon tools lite on my main computer...
I've tried "leaving" the homegroup and opening files from the network as well. They're still pretty darn slow. even after the file loads it isn't "fully loaded" and lags (such as a movie with skips in the play ALWAYS.
But what would you consider a "proper network setup"? Am i missing...
I'm at an absolute loss here. I cannot seem to get very good file transfer speeds no matter what I do. I could really use some help. I'll supply info on what i'm trying to do and what i have hardware wise, but i can't get a music file to open in under a minute! Videos are over 5, and still...
The Sli-Hack is a small bit of software that is used to make it so any (still being tested on many) AMD style boards that are usually incapable of supporting a SLI configuration and only Crossfire-X can support SLI based graphics cards in SLI setup, 2/3/4 the SLI hack helps make this possible...
So i just finished a run of 3D Mark Vantage on my computer. I'm running end game specs of:
4.305GHZ 1090T
210x20.5 FSB
V.Core 1.575
HT - 2100mhz
NB - 2310mhz
Memory clocks loosened from 9-9-9-24 to 10-10-10-26
My video cards are sitting at 755/1812/1135 (GTS250)
I'm running 266.58 drivers
sli...
Do you have a link for the 1.2 Beta?
I've been to the sli hack homepage and i didn't see it there.
i'm willing to give it a shot to see if it's more stable, it seems like my system doesn't like the 1.0 version, 0.9, or 0.8.
Ok, it's been a while since i've been able to post on here about what's going on. But the issue still persists.
Current setup of hardware hasn't changed.
CPU setup is as follows:
4.407GHZ 20.5x215mhz 1.575vcore
twin GTS250 @ 750MHZ/1800 & 1150MHZ memory
I'm running 266.58 drivers, with sli...
So i think i managed to get the CPU stable last night. Bumped my dram voltage up to 1.57 (recommended 1.51), cpu is now a 1.475 (i had already bumped up to 1.4 and forgot but it still wasn't stable), and my cpu pll is up to 2.63 to help to stabilize as well.
My northbridge i gave a little...
I haven't had a chance to put more time in it this week, but i will try a few more volts into it, probably up to 1.4 and see if that helps any tonight. i'll update afterwards.
One of my fans on one of my video cards went out however, so i'm on a single card video card setup right now until a...
Ok, now i'm back to square one. I tried a couple more OCCT tests, and they will fail 2-3 minutes in, never going above 30c, and i just got an uncorrectable hardware error under hal.dll. Any ideas?
Ok, tried original windows 7 installation without the hack turned on and OCCT still failed however i'm not showing the sli hack in BSOD viewer, in fact there wasn't a BSOD, only straight up black screen reboot 3 minutes in. So i'm going with bad OC in my case here. And will continue to tweak...
