I am having trouble with my WD640. It is sometimes disconnecting when the system is running and sometimes isn't visible upon startup. It is my secondary drive, but still have important info. I need to disconnect and connect to make it visible, and that doesn't always work the first time...

You can get the q9650, but if you know how to oc (even if you don't its very easy) you can buy the q9550 and simply bump the clocks to 3.0 ghz or more. Since the only difference between the 9550 and 9650 is the clocks, that is the most cost efficient thing to do. You save $40 which can go...

what temps were you getting? i am getting the q9400 instead of a 9550 for now. how did you oc, fsb to 400? no famous p5b fsb hole? and i only have 2 dimms now (dominators) so ill stick with their stock voltage.
