ok i can try this, but between it wroking to not working i never updated graphics drivers or anything

bit of an odd follow up since we're nearly half a year later, but i tried plugging the card back in and everything worked fine.... for a month or 2. but now it's back to stuck at 300mhz. can anyone give me any possible reason as to why sitting in a box for 6 months made the card work as normal...

Is this something that's liable to happen seemingly out of nowhere after a year of normal, expected use?

No, this card was always mine. I don't even know what terminology you're using to be quite honest, and it hasn't been tampered with / OCed / modified in any way since originally obtained

Raising the bar doesn't seem to be actually changing it from 300.

I was just mistaken about the warranty. It's still under warranty, yeah, it would just have been nice if I could have found a solution other than that since waiting weeks isn't ideal

Unfortunately drivers didn't seem to work either. I do not have any friends with decent power supplies, nor are a lot of PC hardware stores open in my area unfortunately. That really sucks. The card is out of manufacturer warranty; it's been about 1year3months at this point.

I tried the power management thing already to no avail. I'll try some old drivers now
