    update: I think "wobbling" describes the sound best when my fan tries to go into normal status after initialising CCC in win 7 ultimate 64 bit. If I don't log into my win the "full speed annoying sound" remains the same. I think I have to get a new cooling/fan or should i buy a whole new card...

    /push @overclocking101: you mentioned editing my bios would "help"! I'm not able to detect any damage to the fan, so would you be so kind to modify mine or send me yours/a working one with fan speed adjustment. And maybe a short "how to do it right" description! ;) thx alot :)

    k, i'll check the fan gain. but i think it would help to adjust speed percentages as you mentioned. it would be great when you would upload the modified bios and a short "what to do/how to flash" list! ;) thank god! :)

    I definitely run out of vocab to describe the sound, because I'm not a native speaker, but I'll try. ;) It doesn't sound like a fan which is at 100% speed. I checked the "right" fan sound in windows when the "bad" one was gone by manually speeding the fan up to 100%. It's definitely different...
