GIGABYTE Releases CEP Disable Option in BIOS Updates to its Intel Z790 and B760 Motherboards

All these protection mechanisms exist for good reasons. These board makers are trying their hardest to take the Darwin Award from Asus.

Blizzard Outlines Latest Diablo IV Graphical Enhancements for PC & Consoles

It is a bit of both, this game suffers from traversal stutters on cards with lower vram. So while it doesn't require all of the vram to function, frame times tanks if it can't load assets into vram. Edit: Just did some testing, with RT off the game will happily sit within 16GB of vram @4k...

Blizzard Outlines Latest Diablo IV Graphical Enhancements for PC & Consoles

BTW with RT on at all, it tanks CPU performance and also the game becomes even more of a VRAM hog. @4K with RT this game peaks at 22GB allocation lol. It feels like there is something wrong with the RT implementation in this game.

Blizzard Outlines Latest Diablo IV Graphical Enhancements for PC & Consoles

The problem is, good luck finding reflective surfaces in this game. Almost all of the water in this game are either muddy puddles or blood. Make sure the RT foliage check box is off, it just tanks performance.

PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 GRE Hellhound

While you are at it, can you add the GRE to the Horizon FW benchmark as well?

    Horizon Forbidden West Performance Benchmark

IDK about that, the 7800 XT can OC by a similar % compare to the GRE. So with both OCed, the 2 cards are back to where they were relative to each other.

AMD 24.3.1 Drivers Unlock RX 7900 GRE Memory OC Limits, Additional Performance Boost Tested

FYI the 7900 XT in the chart is the reference design. So it is the slowest version of the card out there. It is not like the 7900 XT OC poorly, the AIB cards with higher power limit can pull another 12%+ OC. Of course the XTX can also OC by a similar percentage. Edit: One thing to note is the...

    Horizon Forbidden West Performance Benchmark

The GCD on Navi31 and 32 are onm TSMC N5. It is the APUs that are on N4. As for the performance, I think it is more likely that AMD over estimated their software teams' ability to utlitise the dual-issue FP32 on RDNA3. Also the reduction in Infinity Cache size does not help. Navi21 has 128MB...

AMD Roadmaps Next-gen Ryzen "Strix Point" CPUs at AI PC Summit

Yes. All the recent APUs are named after birds, Strix is Latin for Owl. The previous ones are Phoneix. It goes to 16CU RDNA3+ from 12CUs RDNA3 that Phoenix has. Even the Zen3+ APUs already has 12 RDNA2 CUs.

MSI Confirms Lack of Firmware Updates for Incoming MAG QD-OLED Monitors

It has been at least 5+years. Monitors these days often got released with bugged EOTF tracking or botched local dimming for HDR, or issues with Adaptive-Sync + HDR enabled. These issue are most common with Mini-LED monitors, but OLED is definitely not immune to half baked firmware. On top of...
