He's got the VRM sink which comes with the S1 by the looks of it.

Although the holes don't quite match up with the 4870, I just used a rubber band to hold it on :D (which has now broken but the VRm seems to be held in place by the S1)

Why are your idle clocks so high? Make sure powerplay is working. Youll thank me when you see your electricity bill.

edit: Look slike you're using a custom bios, make sure you have edited it correctly.

If it's not too much trouble would you mind getting some close-up pics of it? I've been looking for something better than I have, my VRM temps reach 120'C under load and that's with heatsinks....

What I'm interested is - what are the highest temps of VRMs that you've had during any gaming. Because I have same setup, just didn't have much luck with that VRM heatsink (wasn't staying in the place like I wanted it to)

Is that a ref card? (IE does it have the PULSE chips to the left of the VRMs?)

Managed to get mine attached anyway, and replaced the "turbo module" with 2 120mm fans and dropped GPU temps by ~10'C and VRM temps by ~20'C :D

Yeah Acceleros are pretty bad ass. I have one on my Ati 3850, it idles at like 33 C without any fans. I have another one I'm gonna stick on my 3870 I just got back from rma when I get some time. Too bad I don't have very much room for fans, I think I'm gonna just stick an 80mm fan on each one near the back of them. Oh well better than nothing.

I shall post you mine as I've just been playing Crysis to check (4870 set up the same way as Boneface's)

GPU never broke 60'C, and the VRMs were hovering around the 75-80'C mark. Now I believe that the VRM temp is so high compared to boneface (who said around 60'C i believe) because they are literally sat next to my NB heatsink, which reaches ~55'C under load.

It's a very hot area around there when the PC's under load, but those temps are still much much much better than the 70+ and 120+ I was getting originally.
