Mem timings

Anyone here want to explane to me how to set memory timing for best performance?
I have overclocked everything else on a pc but memory confuses the hell out of me

remember that Kingston value rams dont get the same latency values as a set of Geil one modules,

you get what you paid for, and no PCworld brand el cheap-o ram will pull DDR 400 2-2-2-5

When you overclock the FSB, the cache will be automatically overclocked. It's even better to have an FSB of 300 and a cpu multi of 9 for faster cache than a FSB of 250 and multi of 11.

EDIT: not 100% confirmed by me thoe, but that should be true.

so if i was to lower my mutiplier to x10 rather then x11 and change my fsb from 258 it should go higher so not only do i get better ghz results my cache will also be overclocked even more then if its was on a x11 mutiplier?

This is the speed of my cache (from Everest). Run a memory benchmark through everest and compare at different FSB speeds.

its a easy fix just disable the mobo speaker or case speaker. now you can play any game at any fps u want. you can even play them without a keyboard and mouse!

ok thanks for advice people my memory did not like tweaking perhaps throwing some more money at the problem will help I shall go ddr2 and pci e on next mommy board money is no object soon as I sell some stuff.....

BTW, from my last post, what I wanted to know was how does the L1 and L2 cache scales up to depending on if you use a 9X or 10x cpu/fsb multi. It definately has something to do with "playing around". *no pun intended*
