Descent - especially Descent I, music was done by oHgr.

Quake 3 - half of it anyways, done by Front Line Assembly

Quake also had some killer ambient by Trent Reznor, even more killer that you could listen to the audio tracks on the CD whenever you wanted (and therefore, Quake would play any music you threw in the CD player . . . ).


Also - a rather obscure one: Dark Reign had some amazing, dark music to it.

mine personally has got to be the zelda series
every other day i always seem to hum along to some tunes from it

I have this song crammed into my head because I had to listen to it about 100 times as background music while playing Arcade Paradise. That being said, its like music positioned in the game as background music as you run your own arcade business, so its not like the music is overwhelming or anything like it is just watching it in youtube. I enjoyed it though. what songs have you enjoyed since making this topic like 3000 years ago?
