First up did you clear CMOS after the bios update?
Second Have you tried just manually setting the multi, LDT, and FSB? Set multi to 15x, FSB 200, and LDT to 1Ghz(some bios it is just auto) so you can atleast run it @ 3Ghz.

Again, have you cleared CMOS since you did the bios flash? I had a issue with a board I'm selling that couldn't run certain memory @ DDR400 even after doing the bios flash. Clearing CMOS remedied the issue.

When you cleared CMOS did you do this:
1. Turn off system and unplug power cord to PC
2. Set jumper to 2-3(usually next to battery or down in the right bottom area of your motherboard.
3. Remove CMOS battery and count to 7-10
4. Replace CMOS battery
5. Set jumper to 1-2 position and plug power cord back in

You should be prompted that your bios settings are at default settings and requested to enter bios to correct the settings.

There is a jumper on your board that will usually have a label next to it that says,"CLRMOS, CMOS_BAT, or something about CMOS." You have to set the jumpers to short the 2 and 3 pin on it. What is the exact model of your board? I'll try and figure out where your CMOS jumpers are at.

Sorry about that, haven't had enough coffee to pay attention this morning! I see your board doesn't have a jumper but it looks like a button. It looks like it is right around the Bios chip + Battery area. Press the button in with the power cord plugged in according to MSI, wait 3 seconds, unplug the power cord, then pull the CMOS battery. After waiting a little bit replace the battery, plug the power cord back in, and fire her up.

Meant the cold, sounds like flu, sucks. I had it almost 2 months ago and it took over a week to get rid of the POS.
