I would say yes as the memory will have settings that apply to 1600Mhz aswell.

I am not sure how far you could push the memory through Overclocking though. If anything you could tighten the Cas latency timings a little bit thanks to the high grade RAM.

But yes it should do fine.

Your board will do Memory Standard DDR3 1800(O.C)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066
Default will be 1333 you will have to overclock it to get 1800

Damn it! How to do this, the easy way???

Put the mem in. Then go into the bios and change the ram to 1333 MHz. Then boot in windows. Reboot, go in bios and change it back to 1800. If that doesn't work tighten timings and up voltage. IDK why u have to change back and forth but that's how it works.

There is no "easy way" I suggest you check out some Asus Maximus threads and overclocking tutorials to familiarize yourself with overclocking your board. Learn, then it should become easier.

Well ram is does not have a significant impact on performance. So underclock it to 1333 mhz for now until you learn how to do stuff by urself.

The ram speed being high mainly impacts how far you can push your processor. Just from my experience. Unless you have a high multi Extreme processor.

Good point there. That's why u may need to set a lower divider in some cases.
