New Anti-Virus needed for a gamer

I use a combination of Avast and Threatfire, never had any issues, and ive used them on all of my companies computers, never had any issues since ive become CIT.

For something free, AVG Free. AVG Free 8.0 includes AVG Anti-Spyware, which is nice to have.

Otherwise, NOD32.

I recommend disabling any real-time scanning no matter what anti-virus solution you go with. Most scanners come with the ability to scan a file or folder via the context menu (right-click). If you don't trust a file, just scan it that way. If you want to, do a full system scan once a month or once every two months.

NOD32 sucks at Internet security but antivirus is amazing, If you want all-in-one protection get kaspersky internet security

i have antivirus 2009 :laugh:

man it does a great job, its always popping up telling me that i have a virus :toast:

however if u dont fancy giving av 2009 a try lol :rolleyes:

i would have to reccomend nod32 or kaspersky

Get kaspersky internet security, you can right click the icon and pause protection when you play games.

Hmmm... it seems that might extremely shitty FPS came from my CPU being dusty. Nvm, I cleant it and it works a whole lot better ^^

Another question : Is there a tool that's based on DesktopX and it shows you GPU and CPU tempratures on the desktop not taskbar.

I'd rather encourage people that make good software/games than getting it the easy way. This way i know that my $ will serve to improve support and more software in the future. I feel better and protected when i make such a purchase.

A lot of software/games companies go under when lack of funds find their way to them.

In the end, i vote for Nod32.
