Nah, I wouldn't worry about it. They probably took the card of because they don't have any more in stock and they probably don't plan on replenishing the stock. They will most like just carry gtx 285s instead.

Still, I think it would be a mistake not to stock 280's, as their performance to price @ $200 is much better than the 285's and probably 295's too.

Yeah I am so glad I was able to get one. I bought it when it was out of stock, so I am expecting to get mine later than you guys.

Who got the EVGA and who got the BFG? I saw the PNY was up there for cheap too. Just curious as to what what brand people preferred.

I would have gotten the EVGA, but the BFG was the only one in stock.

I kinda wish I would have jumped on the evga one this morning, but I am also kinda glad I didn't cause $200 would put a huge dent in my savings. I only got like $650 right now and that much money will go really fast with car payments and paying for school stuff.

Yeah, there were a couple EVGA's, a PNY, and a BFG (or two, I don't remember).

I decided to go with EVGA, considering I've always heard good things and they seem to be known for their speed on rebates & support...

BFG seems to be no worse though... The OC2 BFG is overclocked a tiny bit higher than the EVGA SSC,

Either way, if you got a GTX 280 today for under $250, you are one of the lucky ones

You could have looked at it as an investment. And then sold one on ebay for like 100$ profit.

BFG seems to be no worse though... I would've probably gone for an XFX if it was in stock, since they have the whole double lifetime warranty thing and a very nice website...

By the way, I should have thought about this earlier, but will my PSU handle this card if I put it into my current rig?

I tried using the PSU wattage calculators but couldn't get a definitive answer...
