Alright so ive customized my 360 elite a bit and today i decided to check for some 12v connections in the 360 for the 4" cathodes i plan on putting in it. I used a digital MultiMeter to try and find the 12v connections while the 360 was turned on. Now when i turned off my 360 and turned it back on i get the 3 Red Rings of Death. The wierd thing is though that the 360 wont turn on when i try to start it, i only get the 3 red rings blinking and green center led. When i attempt to So i started troubleshooting it. Im 99.9% sure its not an overheating problem seeing that the 360 wont even pwoer on.
1.removed and reconnected HDD and Dvd Drive- didnt work
2.removed and reconnected cables, changed av cables-didnt work
3.checked for blown capacitors-none
4.checked for loosing connections-none
5.checked for blown soldering-maybe 1
6.Checked for burned areas on motherboard-none
It almost seems that the soldering joint isnt supposed to be connected to anything, but i connected it at the joints but still got the 3 red rings.
When i was using the DMM on the 360 i didnt hear any "pop" or noise indicating something blew.
Heres the connection i think broke up but i soldered together.
What should I do now?
