Guyz My E8400 need 1.37v to go 3.87v , and its fully stable (IBT) ,core temp is 67C max on IBT load . Is it possible to keep those clocks for 24/7 use ?:D

and Is it possible to give more volts for the CPU is my CPU never goes 70C+ on IBT load ?

Volts will kill your cpu faster than heat. Find the max Vcore at which your CPU is rated. I know with my Windsor I try no to go over 1.4v for everyday use.

If you follow Intel's guidelines, you in theory shouldn't go over 1.3625v on the new 45nm chips, so your clock at 3.87GHz would be the highest you would want to go. Generally the absolute max you like to see temps go on a CPU are around 65c so that too means you might wish to limit that as your highest clock for daily use. For benching since the time is short, you can increase both of those.

If thats an E0 cpu your doing something wrong, if its a C0 it may be right. Also what VID is it?

I have an E8400 E0 and it does ~4.1Ghz at those voltages and with my Xiggy S1283 only gets 50C. I have had it priming at 4.5Ghz on 1.45v in bios and only gets to 60C

E0 or C0?

Hey do you have the bracket for the Xiggy? Or make sure your heatsink is mounted fully, maybe less thermal paste?

I guess it could be a hot chip, but also how many case fans do you have and what size?
