PSU should be fine if i upgrade to two 4830's?

hey guys,

i just ran a test to see if my PSU would stand a chance and it did! eXtreme Power Supply Calculator said i only needed 373W of power and i have a 450W! i was shocked to see this. any opinions?

The calculator is efficient.

And I really don't think it will be able to handle 2 4830's. Maybe, but I am not for sure.

Kind of cutting it close at least use a 500w, if I was you I would use a 550.

I wouldn't trust it that power supply... do yourself a favor and buy a huge power supply now and ultimately save money in the future as your power demands grow.

if it were from corsair, i will bet that it can but from rosewill... i highly doubt it. maybe it can but it wont stand for much time

You guys ever use the PSU stress tester in OCCT. My Q9650 and 4850 both OC'd shows just a touch over 350w at the wall.

That calculator with default settings shows 383w, so pretty close.

BTW I'm running a 550w psu

Recommending a 1000w psu is crazy

I wouldn't trust that 450w either though.

invest in a good 750W / or a good 850W... Will last you a hell long of a time, and you can upgrade to practically anything
