OMG - buy at least a 800Watt psu even better is a 850Watt psu.

and why a gigabyte mobo when you can afford an Asus ?

850 watt is overkill and too expensive.. and i like gigabyte better then asus..that's why.

750-850W seems to be the norm when paired with a core i7. :)

Totally agree with you on the Gigabyte board.

I tweaked it up from 775/1126 to 900/1283 :p

Seriously:
GFX = 125w max
motherboard around 30w
3xHDD around 60 max (on spinup really)
DVD/RW around 20 max
Totals 235 watts, leaving some headroom for fans and stuff makes it 250w

That leaves 250w to the CPU, even an i7 won't do that much.
