Not that I am a wealthy geek, and you may or may not be either, but I would ditch that Winnie and get a 3800+ Venice (now CHEAP as **** at under $150) before theay are all gone. You will get the 12 multi and a kick arse cpu @ stock speeds to boot. I have a friend with a 2500+ Barton that he, for what ever reason, gave it 2volts once while trying to overclock it. His comp. is affected with the same symptoms as yours. Hes got good non elcheapo hardware also. Maybe in your overclocking you wore the sharp edge off of your cpu, and it is trying to tell you. Good luck man!

It doesnt appear to be my CPU or mainboard, I whacked a 100mhz divider in and cranked fsb to 250mhz, absolutely rock solid stable. so i guess it must be ram. damn gskill. wish i was working for mushkin about a year ago.

G.Skill Ket? I thought you was a Mushkin man ::snicker:: Yeah, I dont think there is anything I can offer to help you. All the BSODs Ive had in the past have been because of memory. IRQ conflicts, incompatible memory, shorted out memory. Seems like you locked on to the faulty thing here. Just sad, G.Skill is high quality, highly dependable stuff here. :(

I used to give my Barton 2.0v too... only way to run it bench stable @ 2.64ghz. They are tough old chips.

Ketxxx, OK I have some hints.

It could well be capacitors on your mainboard that have gone leaking.

I had the system apart about a week ago for a thorough clean and check for anything like that, all was fine. I've managed to get the system apparently 100% stable even for oblivion which is known to be an unstable SOB anyway. However, it was using a 133 divider, anything above that, BSOD or just plain :wtf: So in light of that I can't help but point blame at the RAM. Damn G.Skill. last time I use their stuff, 2 RMAs in 9 months, not good.

Heres a screenshot of A64 tweaker for anyone trying for 300FSB+ anyway, obviously ignore the divider, timings are currently untweaked, but I dont see the point in doing that with buggered RAM.

Oh and the G.Skill I only have because it was BEFORE I worked for Mushkin :p otherwise it would of been Mushkin stuff, I was trying to get some back when I needed RAM but it was difficult to come by in the UK then.

As I said, their unoptimised timings with many on auto setting :p if you really want me to optimise dodgy sticks then I will :p I just didnt see much point lol
