Hi just bought thermaltake bigwater 745 and the north bridge waterblock w3 and a opty 170.
Do i need the smaller radiator at all becuse from what i understand it has only fittings 1/4 when the bigger radiator has 3/8 (does it reduce the waterflow?),will it cool properly if idont use the small radiator?
Do you think i wasted money on a bad coolingsystem ,but if look on the net it has got god reviews. Now i have an amd 64 3200@2500mhz and cooled with a zalman cu7700 and was hoping to hit 3gig with the new cooling and opty :D .And do i need to take the motherboard
from the case to fit the coolers? .And for the x800 i have arctic cooling and it runs cool but if id put watercooling on gpu it would not cool the memory = worse cooling-> lower clocks
or do you think im wrong. Any way the new parts are gonna :rockout:

I think the pump should be able to handle both rads.

What motherboard do you have now?

Overclocking your CPU will not only depend on the cooling you have, but also on the batch.

Hey man, if you're gonna do watercooling, get these ramsinks:

They're huge and they cool like mad! However, you would need to get some epoxy to stick them to the ram chips because the thermal tape they come with doesn't stick very well. Also, if you get a fan to blow over them, that will give you crazy cooling for your video card.

I have an abit av8 3-eye with kingston hyperx pc-4000 mem.So there is no disavantage that little rad has smaller fittings.

got some experience of this, my suggestion make 2 different systems, one with the bigger radiator for cpu and nb. And one separate for the gfx. that gives the best results. you need to get another pump and tank but its worth it

Hmm that sounds intresting to have 2 separate systems but ill start whit cpu+nb and see how it goes.Thaks for the suggestion.

So now i did get my bigwatersystem (they where sould out, had to wait).Ok now when im back from the holliday trip i did read in the mail that i dont get my opty 170 =( so i ordered an x2 4800 becuse it was 90€ cheaper and 400mhz more in stock klock. But idont think it is gonna clock as an opty 170 ,but if could even hit 2700 it would be nice.Looking forward to put everything
together.
