775GT1-LOGE w/ E6550?

Ok this motherboard supports 65nm intel core duo processors, it supports the e6600 with 1066MHz front bus, will it support my e6550 with the 1333MHz OCed? It say max FSB is only 1066MHz, but my current motherboard, is OCed to accept my proc from 1066MHz to 1333MHz, shouldn't this motherboard be the same case??

max bootable FSB is 1066 from stock. if the board allows you to clock to 333FSB then I see no real issues running the CPU as long as the bios will recognize it. If the bios wont recognize the CPU correctly it may not allow you to clock it.

hmmm good point, i might just end up buying one, because, even if it doesn't work, ill just order a lower end CPU and give the mobo+cpu to my brother.....ill let everyone know how it goes...

Well in his case he would actually have to BSEL to 333, if he can boot the E6550 its going to show a 266FSB with its max multi, effectively underclocking it.

well if the board boots at a max 1066 FSB and the CPU (E6550) is a 1333 FSB then the board will underclock at boot.

If the board has no OC options the only thing to do if fake the BIOS/MOBO with a BSEL. But with the chip already being unlocked to a 1333 I dont think its possible.

This is why I said originally it needed to CLOCK to 333 to get the CPU back to stock, if the bios accepts the code for the E6550.
