Whats the best cleaner that you recommend for getting rid of it?

No one program can get everything so you have to use a combination of a few. The ones I use are malware bytes, super antispyware and spybot search and destroy.

I use Cyberdefender, the paid version, and love it.

The paid version I got comes with a 24/7 computer help line that I used once when I had some printer issues I couldn't solve myself, and they fixed it up. So, if this problem is not a virus issue, they may be able to help.

I just saw Btarunr say once that it was caused by spyware or adware since TPU does not officially allow 3rd party programs to put that onto the front page. I may have misread it though.

I still need a good spyware cleaner(s) since I have none

If you saw those links and pop-ups on TPU then YES you got spyware/adware on your machine. I have NEVER had such stuff on TPU... so there is some adware running in the background scanning your http and inserting stuff. KILL IT. Get it off your system with malwarebytes, then block adware sites with HostsMan.

Yeah, the picture of the little pop up is from the front page of TPU, I've never had it before, and all of a sudden, they've been coming up.

I Ran a malwarebytes scan and got rid of a lot of spyware...thanks for the help guys, really useful!

I would recommned you try Cyberdefender - it scans for viruses, trojan and malwares - so you only need Cyberdefender. You would need to upgrade to the paid version like I did if you have to get rid of viruses, but it's more complete than any other program and it's faster. It doesn't bog down your system.

I went with them initially at the recommendation of a friend, and I liked that they were a NASDAQ company - just keeping it real!
