I remember seeing Albatrons motherboard box in my friends house long time ago. Really haven't seen or heard from them... just checked their site. One interesting product was a htpc mobo, KI780G, am2+ 780G chipset with sideport memory, mini ITX...

I didn't even know it existed. Hopefully it make it to the big player and that chick on the box look better than most of the big brand name player out there.

while AMD are cheap as chips overseas, we see 4870s being more expensive than GTX 260s down under >_>

The only question I have is does hd4890 have an edge over hd3870x2 since they are at about same price point. Playing @ 1920x1200. currently playing COD4 & 5, Farcry 2, Fallout 3. Provide a link if you find a site testing that included the hd3870x2.

I found a site that is pretty good benchmarking for the gtx275 and hd4890

You'll never see a review comparing current generation cards with something as "old" as an HD3870X2.

It is known that at 1920x1200, the HD3870X2 usually performs anywhere in between an HD4850 and an HD4870, depending on the game of choice.

The HD4890 is an incremental upgrade over an HD4870, besting the older '70 by 10% to 15% in most games (if not more).

Add to that you don't have to worry about Crossfire scaling (or the possible lack of it), and a usually smoother "feel" that you will get with a single GPU setup, compared to a multi card/multi GPU setup...

offcourse i know club3D!but what does it matter if we are talking about Albatron:confused:

I was just shocked that you haven't heard of Albatron, so i had to ask did you know about other brands. I have admit tho, i never heard of albatron until like 2 years ago, only because they support PCI :D

Now they are making ATI cards, i guess its a good thing, who knows.
