MSI today also starts the new U123 netbook line-up composed of the U123, U123H and U123T machines. U123 series netbooks are light and compact, they fit into an A4-sized bag, but come with a relatively large screen and keyboard. All four models have very nice exterior design and can be purchased in four different colors - pearl white, dolphin gray, midnight blue and silver red. Further more, U123 series use the latest Atom platform from Intel, a 80 GB, 120 GB or a 160 GB 2.5-inch SATA hard drive, 1 GB on-board DDR2 533MHz RAM (up to 2 GB) and although the name suggests a 12-inch screen, all models have a 10-inch LED backlit display with 1024 x 600 native resolution. No detailed information on the difference between the three models is published, MSI only mentions that the U123T integrates a TV tuner, the hard drive space varies between models, and that the U123H has a 3.5G HSDPA module.

Agreed. I'll only buy one of these netbooks once they are at 1280x800 or better... I dont need to have a resolution that takes me back to the 1980's!

I don't even require 16x10, at least give us 16x9 720p ffs. Make the damn things usable.

you guys need to look at it in perspective. A 22" monitor has a resolution of 1680x1050 if its a 16:10 widescreen. This 10" screen has a resolution of 1024x600 for a 16:10 widescreen so this netbook has a higher resolution density then your standard larger widescreen monitor. Even your widescreen 19" has a resolution of 1440x900 so by comparison this 10" screen has almost exactly half as many pixels and is half the size.

I understand the perspective argument, but that doesn't change the fact that 720p would be more desirable.

@swag, you also get 22" with a ratio of 16*:10. So....

Edit: make that 16:9, the 10's are mia. 22" resolution now is 1920x1080 typical.
