Paypal: 90% of the time they basically say their hands are tied. You are best off doing a charge back after paying from a CC if he doesn't deliver on his side of the deal. But Fit's credit card is apparently maxed.

If you do buy it use a CREDIT CARD through PayPal. Otherwise you're screwed. I learned that the hard way when I was scammed out of $150.

If he has good feedback, its a worthwhile risk. I don't think the kid would risk it as one negative comment and no-one will buy from him.

Best off waiting for Screenshots etc. first.

Screenshots and pictures dont matter...there was that guy on this forum that scammed a bunch of people, who may I remind you guys I told you he was a scammer and no one listened to me. He had pictures and everything...but it doesn't always matter. I have pretty good judgment when it comes to this stuff now, especially since I was scammed about 2 years ago.

Oh yeah, that guy... Scammed almost 10g's in 4 sites... Forgot all about him... I all ways trust people... My biggest flaw...

and i don't have much experience with this whole trade, but i agree it does sound very fishy to me, and though he gave you a name could he not have just given you the name of someone that does have good feedback and it not be his account(s)? i would definitely wait for pictures. You have to watch out though, even with good feedback it could be a scam. I bought an Eagles jersey of eBay 2 years ago, it was supposed to be the proper sewn ones that cost like $300, I won the bid for like $120 and it wasn't legit, despite the fact the seller was a member for a long time, had TONS of postive feedback and wasn't in China or some other dodgy location. I didn't get my money back and had to stick to my replica jersey

Same happened when my 1GB PSP Memory Stick was stolen, bought a 2GB Sony Memorystick off a guy and it was fake, couldn't transfer files over 1GB to it.
