No.... I can't. I really can't. I'm about $240 short.
But maybe next month.. maybe it'll be down in price a little by then.

NDA is lifted. Technically stores should start selling the chip.

Check front-page for list of reviews.

AMD should just ship all processors unlocked and drop the Black Edition stuff.

Why? I think the B.E. procs are good. AMD is trying to win market share and since the 5000 B.E. and even the good ol days of the FX procs(they had unlocked multi's as well, expensive though) did so well they leave us these sweet unlocked chips...cause we will bite, hard!

??? *polishes your intake manifold* You did see I suggest turning them ALL into BE's right? Just dropping the BE name. Right now both of their highest performing flagship processors are BE's, they come in no regular flavor. So why maintain the BE product name? Doesn't make sense, they'd do better just unlocking all their procs.

I am for that but of every chip was be then the price would be too high for some

Also some of companies use standard chips and not be because of cost

Not every one is going to overclok

One drunken night DaMulta happened to be with one of the AMD guy's that's responsible for what they release. DaMulta had a huge talk about how people love AMD chips that overclock well. Even tho they were not hitting huge records they were having fun with cheap chips that overclocked well like the 3600+ that would hit 3.0Ghz. DaMulta talked about how cool it would be if AMD took that apporch and went towards cheaper chips that oced well and how people would buy them just to have fun overclocking them; that overclockers don't all want the best of the best they just want something to have fun with.

Now did what I have to say change them into releasing more overclockable chips IDK. But I did also talk about releasing low wattage chips for work machines because they didn't need to be super fast machines, and how companies would really like that. Then the next week a press release hit about 20Watt chips they had on the market.......

Black sounds mean? Sooo racist ;) ;)

Maybe they should just change the name of the procs from AMD Phenom to AMD Black processors, now featuring more Obama 2.0 support than ever.
