Guys, how do i get into rivet city? I found a platform to walk on, but when i get to the door that it leads to, i need a lockpick skill of 100, is that the only way in?

You go up a big flight of stairs, then a bridge unfolds from the side of the ship so you can walk across, then you get greeted by a Security Guard.

You are probably trying to enter the market at night, the market is only open during daylight hours(8AM - 8PM IIRC).

When you are facing the market door, turn left and you should see a second door that leads to main area of the ship.

are you talking about the entrance that is almost under water?

If you haven't been in Rivit City yet, you don't want to go into the entrance that is under water, as you haven't gotten the quest to go there yet.

Lol no don't enter from there!
(That's not the marketplace at night either, can't say unless I give spoilers)

Keep on walking along the shore. You should see a flight of iron stairs, at the top there's a beggar. Search for an intercom somewhere there. After you speak on the intercom, the Rivet City security will extend a very long bridge which you can walk along.

Here's the beggar, Carlos. The intercom's nearby, up the stairs.
