Maybe your NB is dying. What cooling is on it? Wish I could put a finger on it and tell you it was the cards or the board.

One way to find out for sure is to send me those 295's and I'll test'em to make sure! :) Surely that would be better than a RMA. Guess I could send you my x58 for a day for 'testing'. Just here to help a TPU member out.

Unfortunately I'm crazy busy, testing for the next three days straight and finals next week. :(

Whats your NB cooler? Air or liquid?

BBQ you say.... tempting.... very tempting...

My best guess is the pci slots are bad or the NB is failing and causing limited access to the gpu's. Any other thoughts?

As i'm not sure if you're GTX 295's r dead I think we would all like to blame it on the mobo:D

I guess you have worse prob's than me, I'm pissing of my local computer store for a case so i can play crysis at 2 fps. :nutkick:

Enough with the jokes, Cause i can't go water i suggest you do. ON THE NOTH AND SOUTH BRIDGES! Go for a brand like danger den. :toast: As a 12 year old on TPU i am scared for your GTX 295's of your running them on a fried chipset.

Well Good Luck
:toast:

aw... come on... doesnt have to be today.

i dont know that it has to do with the NB overheating. its never been over 45c and i know it can take alot more than that.

it does seem odd that im having troubles when OCed though.... 2 different cpus too.

just read the thread, and yes i would like to agree that the board is dying. It seems like some kind of intermittent PCI-e problem, maybe swap the cards over?

hmm try dropping your PCIe bus from 100mhz to 98mhz seem if that tiny drop gives some stability if dropping the bus speed gives some stability then you can isolate it as the main cause i honestly dont know how low is a safe speed but i still think that could very well prove helpfull

Wasn't this the DFI with the intermittent LAN port?

Ah, my bad. I'm going to toss in on the 'sounds like a dying board' thing as well. You already said you're out of x58 boards, do you have any 775 or similar tech around (enough for a PC)? Might as well rule out the video cards as best you can.
