Possible OCZ Vertex issue in RAID 0?

I turned on today after work and on the press CTRL + I to enter configuration and it showing my SSD's etc, my PC wouldn't boot due to status saying failed and bootable said no but now I've started clean on my SSD's (3rd time), status is normal and bootable says yes. I need assistance on this one.

It's happened again today when I turned on BUT funny thing is, if I shut down for 5 minutes and start back up, it's fine but over night then start up next day, it says failed and can't boot.

fill out your system specs so that we know what hardware you are using.
Also let us know what raid controller you are using (if onboard etc...)

Sure, Filling them now.

I'm using RAID onboard (port 0 and 1).

I did notice in the BIOS where it lists all the drives connected as SATA and the first SSD (in port 0) said "OCZ VERTEX 1275" but the other said just OCZ VERTEX. I thought that may have something to do with it. Different firmwares?

Im not familiar with SSD drives yet... but from what I do know on those Vertex series SSD's the first version had write corruption issues... the later BIOS solves this issue and perhaps having one drive flashed and the other standard is causing the issue (write corruption on one drive and the other in raid0 fine causing the failure to boot).

also another thing that could cause it if your overclock was unsuccessfull ... i know i had a 4 disk raid 0 setup and has constant issues with booting if my overclock failled... or one of the disks dropping out.

Id say first off you need to flash that other drive to the latest bios... and see if that corrects the fault.

I've not flashed either but I'm guessing the 1275 one is already the latest firmware so I'd need to just flash the other to 1275?

yeah that sounds about right... i did a search on vertex 1275 and found that it was a bios... so im guessing that would be a good starting point... though im not sure if flashing a SSD bios will void all of the sata stored on it... so check that first if you have your OS installed on it

Oh I don't mind losing data on my SSD's. It don't take long to install software/games back on.
