im currently using a regular thermaltake waterblock with my e8400, and iv seen the linked waterblock to look to upgrade, however i cannot find any info on it atall. is anyone using one, or have an idea where to look for info

There are so many other good waterblocks.

caan anyone reccommend a good quality block, or a particular make i should look at?

EK supreme, and that one is very cheap.
Swiftech Apogee GTZ is also amongst the better ones, probably the best one, but more expensive.
