What do you want most from the gaming industry?

1. More Indy games as they rock.
2. Stop treating ppl who dl games as crims and agknowledge that your a big part of why it occurs.
3. More of the likes of Battlefield heroes with free games (we can put up with a few advertisements)
4. Make all dlable content free as we have bought the game and expect us to pay more for new levels ect bah.
5. Remake Spore with multiplayer element.

1. I agree. More indy games that rock. There are some real gems out there like Killing Floor.

2. People who download games illegally are in fact criminals. If you took this mentality to the street you would end up shot. I mean they charge to much for cars. Should we start stealing them from dealerships?

3. Battlefield Hero's is an exact contradiction to your #4. The base of the game is free but if you want your character to have a gun? You have to buy it. You want him to be able to drive a "new" tank? You have to pay for it. If the industry follows this formula Ill stop playing games. Also just to let you know something about Battlefield Hero's is you have to pay monthly for anything you "unlock". Still sound good?

4. I kinda agree here. But only for extra levels. If they add whole new campaigns to something with new characters and such I don't mind paying 5 bucks. I mean they didnt HAVE to do it so why not help them out a little.

5. I cant argue because I never played it......so yeah it needs multiplayer element

I'm glad you took it the way it was intended. Some people here tend to take things WAY out or perspective. Anyway here is my list...

1. Rework some of the classics. Some of the pillow biters on this forum never played a proper 8-bit game like Streets of Rage, Master Blaster or even Gould's and Ghosts. Keep them 2D but upgrade the graphics. Hand drawn sprites FTW!

2. Make the games more difficult. Games today that can be beat in an hour get played for an hour.

3. More multiplayer with a larger multiplayer base. The 60+ players in a Battlefield 2 server was a lot of fun. These 24 player servers suck.

4. Enough with the MMOs. If you want to make them fine. But make them free. Once I buy a game I own it. I shouldn't have to pay again to play it. People keep buying into this trend it will be the end of gaming.

More open-ended, open world games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion. I like games I can get lost in. Bethesda's "live another life in another world" motto for the ES series fits my preference well.

Finished products- Let games be what they could, quality over quantity, if it takes a few more months to make the game spectacular rather than good, than take the few months, you will be rewarded for it (execs sometimes seem amazingly short-sighted)

I know, I was being a bit facecious myself.
The industry actually is listening more to gamers and changing some of their "bad habits".
Stardock is one of the best examples. Their games are DRM free and if you purchase a game from Impulse they allow you to sell it back to them if you don't like it.
It's not perfect, but it's a start.

#1: Freespace3 (cries)
#2: Square-Enix to stop teasing us and do a faithful PS3 remake of FFvii. (faithful means everything, even the bugs)
#3: Chrono Trigger 2 (Chrono Cross was great but not a real sequel)
#4: A real 3D remake of Chrono Trigger (killing the resurrection project and not doing it themselves was the biggest insult imaginable)
#5: Sony to stop being such copycats. I loved the PS1/PS2 because it DOES NOT have motion-sensing technology. Why does next-gen have to mean "flail your arms around to fight"? I work all day, and game to relax. The last thing I want from a video game is exercise. (or tennis elbow)

1. Duke Nukem Forever to be on a shelf, and it's not an empty promotion box
2. 'MMO' games, that aren't built around the wattered down WoW/EQII modern 'mmo' template. A game where single player immersion meets the OPTION of companionship in the virtual world, not the REQUIREMENT. Also one that waves the finger to all the socialites and comfort zone players who want to run around looking cool in a game world because they're social rejects. Or in short, gameplay > aesthetics please!
3. No more Need For Speed from an EA team or anything EA related.
4. A decent NHL hockey game for once.
5. Video games to not be made by developers, who also just happen to be video game players that use words/lexicons such as "moar."

I personally like what MailMan said. Some DLC packs on XBL are like $5 or more and you don't even get much, like in Test Drive Unlimited. I think maybe small DLC's should be quite cheap, maybe $1 or so. But then with things like new maps, campaigns, etc. they could charge more. Or they could make the small things free. It would actually help promote the sale of games.

5 things,
-novel/new stories. I need more cryostasis, stalker, bioshock,.... and less crappy quake/cod clones.
-more complex games. Average age of gamers is higher than 15 years ago, it makes nonsense that many old games were harder and less childish than many of the new.
-better AI. In many games enemies are like drugged monkeys.
-better support, less bugs, and patches that don´t add more bugs.
-drm free games.

so..... Duke Nukem Forever is going to be THE SH*T. I mean the best game ever! No other game will ever compare.

Wouldn't mind playing something along the lines of Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines with multiplayability. Besides being just really buggy, it was really a good game but it would have been awesome if you could play online!

I don't know, they have actual in game video of it. Graphically it looks stellar. Now whether or not it will actually be released (probably never), we'll see.
