Possibly looking to upgrade.

Looking to upgrade my graphics card at the moment. Games that I definitely plan on playing are:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty: World at War
Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead
Starcraft 2
Diablo 3

I'll be running at 1680x1050 resolution. I have been looking at this GTS 250 card, because it supposedly will come with cod4 and codwaw. I'll contact newegg just to make sure cause when I add it to my cart it only shows up codwaw.

Wondering if I should wait or go ahead and upgrade from a hd 2400pro 128mb lame card. Will there be any price cuts in the near future? Should I go with evga and step up?? Or should I go with a cheaper card such as the hd 4770 which seems to be out of stock on newegg at the moment?

I have no necessary budget but I am not willing to spend more than for a gts 250 right now

just pulled the trigger. price is unbeatable imo for the upgrade ill be getting over my current hd 2400 pro. ill finally be able to play at my native resolution of 1680x1050.

you might wanna check the power requirements you 'll be introducing to your system and cross- check that with your current PSU!

Card came in yesterday. It works great!! Such a huge upgrade compared to my previous video card, the hd2400 pro 128mb. Thank you Shadowfold for showing me the deal on the card!!

Is the Dell 375W working O.K.? It would be good to know - people in lots of forums are always asking about upgrade options for their Dells. It would be good to know I can always recommend an HD 4850. Yeah, that $85 after rebate HIS is such a good deal. With deals like that out there it takes the sting out of the HD 4770 shortage.

+1 on that question... some relative feedback would be greatly appreciated, by quite a few people in TPU!

Dell uses PC Power & Cooling for their power supplies, so I'd say it's fine. Anything with at least 18a +12v amps will be fine for any single 6pin GPU setup.

yeah its working great. played cod4 for countless of hours now with no problems. crazy to think i was able to play it for a year at low resolutions and lowest settings. now i can max it out at 1680x1050 xD
