I sent you mail back did you get it? I had to pay like 1300isk or something. I finally renewed my subcription. Im making a new character today, so Ill let you know. Reason being is ever since I started playing a few months back I didnt know what I was doing and messed up my security status pretty badly. Now that I have very good knowledge, I can make a serious char.

It doesn't matter on skill really. Or how long someone has played. if you focus on a certain skill set you can be up at the top of the food chain within months. Plus most of the roaming PvP stuff happens in gangs, so there's no level association.

Evemon, is a great tool for monitoring your current training.

And EfT (Eve Fitting Tool) is great for managing ship loadouts.

Www.battleclinic.com will get you started on all your basic loadouts.

This game is not for the faint of heart, and the ones that are use to the daily grind. There are a ton of ways to make money, get better ship's and explore different areas.

The learning curve also tend's to throw people off quite a bit. All i can say is stick with it, join a Corp, or make a TPU Corp..and tag along learning the do's and don'ts and you'll be hooked.

I played during Exodus just before Titans were introduced. I was Amarr, had Apoc and Purifier. I started out mining for about a week then running freight for about a month, then bought a light cruiser I think it was a Omen and started ganging with a experienced Caldari friend in systems I had no business being in collecting loot then I was invited to join the Corp he was in that owned a nice piece of real estate in the PvP zone and bought an Apocalypse in no time, then I started doing jobs like Bounties and Escorting. some of my memorable moments include taking on a Police Ship in Non-PvP Gates and I was fortunate enough to be involved in a Corp War and won (expensive).

I love the game, but I'm going to be setting it down for a week or two while I play TF2 or anything else. I got spanked hard for 15-20 million (~90% of my net worth) ISK due to the loss of 2 fully outfitted ships during an epic story arc. All the cargo inside the ships, all the weapons, everything. Couldn't recover it. Left with 1 million ISK and my old condor + 0 weapons left me so choked and enraged I pissed a bit of blood.

I have come to a conclusion. Cormorants suck. Or at least my loadout on my cormorant was suck. Back to the basics for me.

I just started playin EVE on the Tranquility client (dont know how much it matters lol) yesterday and already have a Comorant, took 900K ISK, loadout kinda sux but better than the Merlin. The game is fun and not really hard to learn IMHO. Im Caldari and have no Corp.

I didnt know But I have to do that to my new ship as I was way too tired to remember lol. Almost got killed once on a mission but that was in my Ibis and had no clue what to do lol. But I got the hang of it now (mostly) and I'll be up there in no time!

Before you do much else, get all the skills under "Learning" and level them up. Some of them are 3.5million isk, get all the cheap ones and get the big ones as you can. These are attribute modifiers (intelligence, perception, etc). If you boost them all +5, everything trains so much faster and you get other pluses to boot.

I even had the repairers on and a booster. My name is the same ingame as on here. The Cormerant isnt at all a great ship for fighting lol.:shadedshu Took about 500K ISK in repairs....

Epic story arc you get straight out of training? Be careful with that one. Once you start hitting the ending missions they give, the rats/NPCs get ridiculous. One deadspace encounter has drones that feature warp scramblers and webifiers, so you'll come to a dead stop and be forced to tank all 10-20 (depending on if you accidentally agro both groups at the warp in point). Also, you start hitting cruiser class vessels towards the end, so you better be in a cruiser or hitting HARD towards the end.


I found the cormie can lay down a lot of hurt on frigates, but as soon as you start getting overwhelmed its too slow to be viable unless you've got all the right skills and a good loadout. Most people use destroyers as dedicated salvagers. I downgraded to Kestrel and missle whored my way through the rest of the epic arc. I upgraded to a Caracal right before the final missions and I still wasn't packing enough heat to finish off some of the guys. Needed help from a corp mate.

you need some resists (depends to rat =npc type) ,you can use resistance ampliers (they are passive like Kinetic Deflection Amplifier) or hardeners ,There are 4 damage types and resist modules for them ,you can use active (=use energy and have to acticated ) or passive (=dont use energy ,) and there is invul field an active module boosts 4 resists .Youll take less damage than . Cormorant is a shield tanker like other caldari ships ,fit a small shield booster ,some resistance ampliers or hardeners and a damage control or a magnatic fiela stabilizer to low slot
500k for repairing ?Next time fit a armor/hull repairer to your ship undock repair (dont worry i made same mistake when im new)
Ibis is a rookie ship you get free when you lost your ship ,youll get one when you docked to a station with no ship ,since it is free you cant insure rookie ships
