Ati Gecube 9550

Hi!

I have bought Ati gecube 9550 128mb with 400mhz/200mhz frequency OC to 445/200 but started to show artifacts in atitool, chip is RV 360. I have a qestion which bios shouldi use to get better OC frequency and should i use softmode ( i have 4 pipes ). And why atitool doesnt shows me temp of my grafhic card? And where i see which ram do i use????

that's the max already on your card. it's been overclocked to begin with (9550 speeds should be 250/200x2).

You only have 4 pipes so it doesn't matter. Just use ATITool and use the "unlock" function for overclocking.

You don't get to see your temperature because you don't have a temperature probe on your 9550. I don't think any 9550's have a temp probe.

Look on the card itself for the RAM.. copy down the serial/model number then google it.

Still would i gain anything if i flash it? And this artefacts that are detected by atitool do they damage graphic card in a long way????

i strongly advise not to flash your gecube 9550 anymore because this is already factory flashed with a 9600XT bios...

just accept its limitations, we get what we have paid for, right?

Asus 9550GE

On the net i can get loads of information on overclocking this one.. though everyone uses a different tool or bios for it.

Question 1: Which types of memory can there be on a Asus 9550GE ( 4.0 or 5.0 Hynix or Samsung? )
Question 2: What is the best tool to overclock it with?
Question 3: Can you do better with flashin the bios tahn loading up a dang program which has to set the settings right all the time?
Question 4: If you do use a bios which one is the best for 4.0 or 5.0 memory.

(9550GE has 128bit momory and a standard 400/250 )

Does it? My card is a Asus 9550GE GE = Gamers edition... shouldnt there b any problems tahn with the way handeling it like a normal 9550? And i still want to know what the beset overclock possibility is for the card.. if it is possible.

like I said in my guide, every card is different! you'll just have to figure it out yourself.. saying that mine reaches 450/280x2 (example) doesn't mean yours will nor does it say it won't surpass either.
