My problem is that my PowerDVD 9 freezes whole system for 5-10 seconds while starting. It happens on my HD monitor Samsung 240HD. But when I connect 40 inch 720p tv it works great. Please, can u suggest what the problem or give some link to fix.

are you using the Ultra edition to play Blu-Ray?
If not, then just download VLC Media Player. Waaaay more stable, lighter, and easier to use.

Yeah I am using it to play Blu-Rays. Also I like color/contrast setting of powerdvd, is there way to see them and apply to vlc?

your monitor may not be hdcp supported.
I'd check the specs on newegg

it is compatible with HDCP. But i connect tv through VGA cable. Maybe it lags while checking HDCP through DVI.

i can't say i've ever heard of that occurring before...
have you tried reinstalling the program while you have the monitor plugged in?
i don't know why that would change anything... but its worth a shot

Its most probably cycling resolution/refresh rate to find the best one through whatever means you have it connected. I dont see any problem with waiting 5-10 seconds for something to load. Now if it was 5-10mins then i would complain.
