Dell's XPS M1710 notebook gets overclockable Core 2 Duo

Seems like Dell will be letting the buyers of their XPS M1710 overclock their CPUs, just like their desktop series. The owners of the new M1710 will be able to overclock their CPUs if they wish. The old M1710 had a Core Duo and Geforce Go 7900 graphic card, while the upcoming refresh will sport a Core 2 Duo T7600G or T7200 CPUs and 512MB GeForce Go 7950 GTX or 256MB GeForce Go 7900 GS. Get ready to spent just about $3,500 Dollars if you want to get your hands on the high-end model.

and i totally remember those old turbo buttons! what did they do, i never figured it out

i was playing crystal caves (before it was 3d, whoa i know) and i loved pushing that button (i was like 6 gimme a break) and i would push it over and over again, except one time all of a sudden the game was running in turbo mode. like super fast. it was awesome. from then on when i would play that game i would push the button a million times until super fantastic awesome mode happened again, and then i would die 5 times as fast.

actually tho, i think this will be a great option on dells - would you like your laptop to ignite due to battery failure, or cpu failure?
