It seems like Intel is no stranger to outsourcing. While they did announce the slashing of over 10,500 jobs a few months ago, they have decided to hire workers in Israel. Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz claims that Intel will hire more then 1,500 workers, instead of cutting what should have been around 700 workers. The reasoning behind Intel hiring in Israel is unknown.

the Intel Israel labs are intels golden goose,

the Pentium 1-3 came from there, all the Pentium M and tualatin line came from there and the current conroe and merom cores came from there, the intel israel labs is basicly what saved intel from netburst,

for those who dont know israely geography or hebrew

Pentium M banias, banias is a river in northen israel
Pentium M Dothan, the dothan is an affluent to the river jordan
Pentium M yonah, yonah is dove in hebrew,
Pentium M merom, Mount merom, mountain in northen israel (actually been there on a school trip),

personaly, if i had 1 part of my business thats been generating new tech and design keeping my business going, thats the last place i would make cuts,

Please! You're making me blush. It's true that Israel is the best when it comes to "high-tech".

BTW, "yonah" is a biblical figure as well.

Maybe i can find a job there..

Yes, many Jews work for Intel...

(& I would NOT doubt they are "taking over" INTEL, period, if they have not by now in the higher positions in that company... this IS how those folks operate, & I know it, first-hand!)

E.G.-> One of my pals, who came to this country around 1991 (USA) is jewish & made himself QUITE the career in the IS/MIS/IT field initially as as developer from 1994-2001, & went into mgt. after that (CableVision NYC, & he is now a V.P. & won an emmy award last year for his work on desktop Scientific Atlanta CableTV set-top boxes that company is doing)... his boss is a Jew also.

Those folks (jews) stick together like SUPER-GLUE!

Finally, also, coming back around to my premise? Well, his Uncle worked for INTEL.

(My Jewish pal's one of the better managers out there imo, because he actually has done the job first of all, & secondly because the guy is just OUT & OUT SMARTER THAN HELL on many things, period - just outright intelligent & also well educated (mainly from his Dad (God rest his soul), a dual PhD in mathematics & comp. sci.)).

If his Uncle was ANYTHING like his now deceased Dad? He was smart... no questions asked. These are 2 strengths of Jewish people I admire in fact: They stick together & generally are VERY educated in their field of endeavor.

APK

P.S.=> Yes, I admire Jews for 2 things: They stick together & help one another, almost no matter what which is MOST UNLIKE other nations/tribes/nationalities, & they educate to NO END...

In today's world? Those are admirable qualities & work for success...

Also, from what I understand in talking to my buddy who's the VP @ cablevision (we were pals since academia, & my family "took a shine" to him, especially my father, because he too was an immigrant)?

They also marry for INTELLIGENCE largely... breeding for it, literally... assuming my buddy told me the truth & I see NO REASON for him not to in this area... apk

Well, might as well say it how it is, or how I have seen things done/be!

:)

Much does, some does not (netburst was a 'mistake' imo @ least, not huge, but a sort of "blunder" by INTEL in general that never REALLY delivered on its promises)...

Hey: Everyone's learning, more & more over time in this field... & it shows!

helping other people should be human instinct, the day we look at religion before lending a helping hand is the day we lost our humanity,

another thing, in israel the education system is very optimized, in junior high and high school kids start to be devided over their scores in different subjects, so basicly, people which are good at literature but bad at math get more advance literature classes and more basic math classes, people who are better at math but bad at literature get more advanced math and more basic literature, goes for all subjects, so they basicly steer you at the right college/university choice from when you start junior high (grade 7) to when you get out of the army, your not forced to study something your not good at, and you are encoraged in the topics you are good at,

theres several other issues with their origins actually in other cultures

jews are good bankers/economists - in the old christian europe, it was deemed as sin to charge commisions on economic transactions and loans, leading to a situation where no christian could run a bank becuase it was not profitable, so the kings and governeurs of states and provinces would go to the jews and say "you´re going to hell anyways, can you set up banks?"

Jews are smarter - actually, not quite, just have a head start, in the old days, in many cultures literacy, matematics and other skills were kept from the people and only taught in the church or in high society, so you would get communities where only priests can read and right and the rest are just farmers, while in the jewish religion, its a sin to not pass on your knowledge to your childred, from the tora, they would get read and write skills and basic math,
