fairly sure you need a minimum of 48 stream processors to use it as a physx card

Why can i enable phyx on my 8400gs. It litteraly has the setting, GPU-z haz phyx checked and my nvidia control panel offers it.

I say yes you can. But the improvment only is good with really 48 stream processors or more really.

you sure its not using your 260 for physx?

Also checked in GPU-z so im pretty sure it use Phsyx on the 8400gs, Also the card heats up just a bit to 60c in Unreal turny 3

i use 8600gts for physx, i belive all 8000 series u can use it as physx

You can always download the PhysX drivers & see how you fare with it.
It should work though, as mentioned above

well IMO PhysX is dead anyway besides u got badass card just pulled mine an hour ago to fold on my other rigs

Physx isnt dead games are being made to use that technology.
