Why is it fake for someone to offer chips that guarantee to clock X-amount.

It's really the fact that he try's to cover it up as if its some kind of brand new uber 1337 model, instead of just saying its an overclocked Core i7 920.

The way he goes about advertising it makes it seem extremely fake.

It may not be fake. After all, you can make the most money out of people's stupidity/lack of knowledge, and thats what this guy does. Its not really the gentleman way, but what does he have to care if he gets his money.

You would have to duplicate his setup ie: motherboard, memory, everything. I know cpu's will not overclock the same with a different motherboard and other parts......
I would never buy anything that is guaranteed to run at a certain speed unless I saw it in person with my own two eyes.....LOL...

Hahahaha... I used to compete with him on Ebay with selling AthlonXP CPU's. We'd try to sell cherry-picked chips and advertise the hell out of them. One time, I sold my ordinary Athlon 64 for just as much as an FX.

Never gotten negative feedback, although it's sad to see that he got a couple from those who misunderstood. At least I was not that extravagant with advertising!

He provable said to him self if AMD could sell preoverclocked CPU why can`t he :D.

AMD TWKR wasn't pre-overclocked. It ran at 2.00 GHz out of the box.

Why is it fake for someone to offer chips that guarantee to clock X-amount.

Because you would much rather buy a chip that really does it (i7 975 XE) for $50 less.

The crazy thing is the amount of these things he's sold...For the prices he's sold some of them for.
