Good day!
So I've recently built a budget system that uses an old HD3870 from my previous system and my new mobo has an IGP of a HD4200. I've read that there is some hybrid crossfire action that can go on but I can't seem to get anything to work from it.
I wanted to be able to do this, quoted from AMD:
"ATI Hybrid Graphics is a ground-breaking technology featuring multi-GPU performance capabilities, automatic power state adjustment for power-savings, and multi-display functionality. This AMD platform technology enhances the user experience by combining an AMD 780 Chipset with integrated graphics and a discrete ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 Series, ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3000 Series or ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4000 Series GPU so they work co-operatively yet independently of each other to bring enhanced gaming performance, productivity and platform power efficiency to the mainstream PC."
So I've got two monitors connected to my PC, a 21" and a 19". The 19" is turned off and set to off in Win 7. I only display to the 21". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the ATI 9.12 drivers to make sure that turning the IGP on on the mobo wasn't an issue. I've still got no confirmation of whether or not I've got hybrid Xfire going or not.
On my CCC, it shows both display adapters, however, the IGP is set to a disabled state. The primary is my HD3870. I do however, have both display connections connecting to the video card rather then my on board.
Ok, so, what do you guys think? If you need more info or would like me to clarify then just let me know. Thanks
