Yup, Of course 7.1 for everyday use, the ideal situation for this card would be in a Media center (Movies and Music)

Still using XP, huh? Vista and 7 benefit greatly from decent DX10 graphics. Multitasking, for that matter, doesn't just require lots of memory, but also a good redraw rate, which is sorely absent from a lot of integrated graphics solutions.

That said, they list two memory types for the Eyefinity version, meaning four SKUs in total? That's a lot for such a simple, low-end product... DDR2 can't possibly be that much (if any) cheaper anyway, given the way supply has tanked over the past six months.

It can accelerate flash 10.1 (still unreleased) video, as well as TWO HD video streams at the same time and the AERO interface of vista and win7. This is a great feature for people with htpc's. especially with the hdmi 1.3a with bitstreaming dts-master audio.
