hi :), I currently have this ram installed: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231226, I currently have 6 gigs of ram total, but 2 sticks in my system is ddr2 800 (you can look at my system specs), I am wanting to replace those 2 sticks of 800 with just 1 stick of matching gskill 1066 that i currently have installed, any advice?

You'll exclude yourself from running dual channel mode if you only have three sticks. A slight performance hit. You might want to consider 2x1GB G.Skill DDR2-1066 instead.

would the different timings effect it? i'm noob at memory stuff, lol, because my motherboard does allow different timing to be set on both slot options, A and B :wtf:

so what? just set the timing similar on both, should work right then?

you can probably OC it even, to be on par, regarding memory speed
your phenom likes low timings, so i suggest you 4-4-4-12 and somewhere about 900, below 1066. should work out fine:)

every set not created from shitty IC´s should be able to do that

i run 2x1 gb 800 crucial ballistix, and a 2x1gb set of 1066 dominators together,
at 5-5-5-15,1066, 2.2v
what can i say? they work :)

it fits, but only if i stick them in the right ram slots. if there 2 times the same sticks, on the same channel, the rig wont post. if there is 1 crucial and 1 corsair per channel, it works right
