See I love ECS and they make solid budget boards and even decent performance boards these days but moves like putting out two boards without USB 3 support are their downfall.

Specs aside, anyone have comments/expectations/insights about the qiality of these boards? I haven't built with ECS for a while.

ECS should send me their press releases before releasing them to the press. Five dollars a pop and I'll fix all the lame non-english commentary like "offers 3 times extra protection to secure the motherboard stabilities and durability."

That said, I am quite fond of their BE equipment, which comes in at a fair price for what you're getting. If they put out an mATX version of the above board, I'd be all over it. What's up with the green one though? Has AMD downgraded the GX? It looks more like an 860V board than anything else...

It does include USB 3.0.

Edit: these look like mATX boards unless its just the pictures. The Black Edition one looks nice, but I agree the green one is old school crapfest color.

Ive never really been a ECS fan. every product i have gotten worked good but was very tight on accessories like sata/overclocking/upgrade ability.

Now if Corsair starts making motherboards, whoah nelly!

Same here, no problem running everything stock, but overclocking is horrible on th ECS boards i've used.

They are all very good, i've owned 2 ASUS boards, 2 Gigabyte boards and 1 MSI board. I consider them all top tier. In fact ECS is really the only company I don't consider for motherboards when I am looking at a main build (Aside from JetWay)

For the people who can't afford more , this is a good board , my bro's first PC had an ECS , everything fine , worked stock ok , he didn't overclock ofcourse he didn't know how to , i did a little but only on my pc anyways so , the board ran like 5 years of game hammering and runs still today if i turn it on on this old system On the note that it wasn't nearly as new at day of purchase , it was a PC for like some $450 in the 2005

So , It has good value for buck id say and quite good for normal consumer. (to them those bragging points about all what you get does really mean a lot to them , so , even if the article talks like this being a better board than any other , it clear what it targets)

But ESC Buttons , THIS has to be a joke, i need those button on gigabyte and they only have it on TOP intel and AMD boards which I won't spend like 200+ on a board cause I don't need that extra OCing headroom , but ESC making this on consumer level , that's really great , so I think this board , especially the black one is a really good deal , especially if you want a quick good but still afordable pc for your gf , yu right picking one of these
