Microsoft allows unlimited machine-to-machine transfers of Windows Vista

On October 16th, Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to limit the amount of times users transferred their Windows Vista license. There was a humongous outcry from computer hobbyists, and Microsoft has officially decided to let users transfer their copy of Windows Vista from one machine to another as many times as they like. This is of course assuming that the copy of Windows Vista is genuine, and that the said copy of Windows Vista is no longer on the machine Windows Vista was transferred from. Microsoft will not change any other components of their license, which includes a limit on running Windows Vista in a virtual machine.

And finally a high note on a plagued start... I don't plan on upgrading just from what I have seen and heard so far, its turned me off so far. Again we don't even need to go there with the price of an upgrade anyways

woo, faith restored in vista, i still disagree with the dx10 upgrades and such, mainly because nvidias is such a power hungry monster, i dont care what the graphics will be like, if it requires a separate power supply to run the damn thing i think i'll pass.

who even mentioned the 8800 series? we all know it sucks

i suspect 80% of buyers will go ati for much reduced power draw reasons among other things. sort it out nvidia, bigger is not better. we are in an age of we want more power from even smaller things, not the other way around, we arent back in the 90s here :rolleyes:

According to TheINQ the GPU itself only uses 140W, it's just that the system requires a power supply with a GIGANTIC (somewhere in the ballpark of 26-30 amps per) 12 volt line.

i'm a little lost.....
is this a thread about VISTA or NVIDIA?????

the ONLY reason i'm not gonna upgrade for a while is the proven fact of game performance loss & i have used all the beta versions & there are a fair few things that have never been fixed in it.
even with the most current version i still find small bugs & crashes.

i'm sticking with XP till Vista is more game happy & not crash happy

i think that if or when all of these new graphics cards come out, nearly everybody will admit to wanting them very badly
