I saw an ipad with my Xray machine today

I work for security and use an Xray machine everyday.

Today I saw an ipad, well actually I saw through an ipad.

THERE IS NOTHING INSIDE IT!

The only thing inside an ipad is the motherboard from an iphone or ipod touch and thats it.:shadedshu

The motherboard was literally only 2 x 5 inches.

The screen is most of the ipad, and it has two flat long batteries that fill the rest of the space.

I would not think there would be too much to an iPad from a hardware standpoint. It's basically an iPhone with a bigger screen.

eh, yes n no. i would rather the mobo be a lil bigger or they make use of the space inside the ipad more so that it could at least multitask...i don't own one, never will, but it would make it a lot more appealing imo. i wonder if its CPU n GPU are just higher clocked versions of whats in the iphone.

you and i see it in two different ways.

You see it as "look they fit tiny stuff in!" (and credit goes to apple when they dont even design the hardware, they use other peoples tech and put their OS on it)

I see it as "apple could have fit so much MORE, they cheaped out"

The battery is probably one of the most expensive parts there sadly enough! I don't think Apple cheaped out, well actually I do cause if they made it slightly bigger, added an actual powerful processor... well it might be ok then, however, they needed that processor architecture to be compatible with old iPhone apps.

i just think they could have put twice as much ram in there, or a faster/higher clocked CPU and had them more capable... hell, maybe even powerful enough for flash!
