Used to like Vista and XP where in I could open two word documents and each would have its own tab on the taskbar. But in Win 7, all the documents or windows open of a particular program have a single icon on taskbar and u have to point your mouse to get a peek and then choose the window u want to work. But with XP and Vista...it was just click and the corresponding window opens!!

Favourite? Wow... only one? :)
I love the new start-menu where you can just type what you want in the searchfield and it finds the app for you. Aeropeek is also awesome. Snap too.

The things I don't like... Libraries, never had any use for them, guess I'm too organized to have any use for them :p Wish i could turn them off or delete them though... (never really tried so if anyone know's a way, please let me know :) )

I agree with newtekie about the network, don't know what they were thinking when they made it harder to access, talk about going in the wrong direction.

Homegroup is a big fail, but can be turned off thankfully.

Other than that? It's all good... I think

Here is how to turn that feature off: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/496-taskbar-button-grouping-enable-disable.html

That is extremely easy to change, it is one of the first things I do after installing Win7.

Right Click on the Taskbar.
Select Properties.
Change Taskbar buttons: from Always Combine to Combine when taskbar is full.

Just like with Vista, the only real thing that really annoys me is there is no quick way to get to your network connections. You can no longer right click on the network icon in the system tray and go directly to your network connections. You also can't right click on Network(replacement of My Network Places) and get there either, you have to go through the stupid Network and Sharing Center.

I despise HomeGroup also, sharing files on its own without me telling it to, just because I pick "Home" Network instead of "Work".

This is the only thing i hate in windows also. I HATE the networking in it. I turn off homegroup, and I hate how on default, you have to type a password to access other files on another machine. Its annoying.

i wish they included dreamscene in W7. the hack is generic but i bought stardocks dreamscene, i just hate how some creators don't consider CPU usage, but some are really nice and use little.

OK, so tell me how you did it. I tried this, but it only works on 32-bit. My point though was that the OS removed the functionality.

Classic-type mechanical keyboard. No additional keys.

Copy wmpband.dll from a Vista x64 machine to the Win7 x64 machine into "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player". Make sure to stop the media sharing service first if it is running.

I too dislike the search in Win7 and use Google Desktops search instead

Or you could just not loose files, it isn't hard, especially if you have a good file structure setup.

All in all so far I am liking win 7 a lot. Loads fast, runs well and seems very stable.

I am having some teething issues with audio right now though which is bugging the crap out of me.
Can't hear voice actors in games but I hear everything else.
Like the sounds run on different streams or something.
