Would a 300W PSU run this?

HI, can you tell me if a 300W PSU would run this configuration? :

4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
1TB SATA2 HDD
512MB 9800GT PCI-E (No 6 pin power needed)??

Depends on the rest of the configuration, but I wouldn't risk it. The power supply is the most important piece in your computer. Don't skimp.

Processor uses more than 100w? Is is a "no brand" PSU? If yes to any, then its highly risky to use the power supply.

I'm guessing by the fact he's buying a 300W power supply in the first place he's on a tight budget, so it's probably cheap.

But there is NO point in buying a 300W power supply if it's cheap or not, save a bit more money and go at least 500W so you don't have to buy another one soon down the line, and you will need to... Once you start buying parts it's hard to stop. It's worse than crack.

QFT skimmping on a PSU can resualt in destroying the rest of your hardware. From what iv seen 300w PSU's dont have things like OVP OCP OTP PFC etc.

I've used one of these for a year though i only paid $25 shipped for it..
It's as low as I'm willing to go..I use it on my Daughters PC
Don't go any cheaper...I recently blew a 300watt Bestec and took my Mobo with it (replaced by RMA)
