Well, I think the FS/FT Forum Rules are debateable...

So will I get a warning if my handwriting is illegible? Or if my wife does it for me? I'm sure it'll get reported anyways.

people in kansas were never taught proper penmanship so i guess you can't buy/sell/trade

BUT how can a mod ask the ones who don't have these built up reputations to follow certain rules when not every one would have to..
True DRDNA, just as the mods must follow the rules also.

Seriously people, I'm gonna be point blank here. I dislike rules and authority figures in the real world just like the rest of you.

I come to TPU to relax and keep up with tech and members, just like you do. We aren't here to be Nazi's it is all in the goal to make it easier on the staff to police such a section and keep our members somewhat safer in the process.

I could go on forever, in specifics, but even with my distaste for rules and or guidelines to my relaxation, on the same note, I have never had a thread closed. If a lazy procrastinator like me can get it done, I really don't see where all you younger guys have this strong feeling for "maybes, or what ifs" when we are trying to eliminate that exactly. I don't mod the FS section, but I do see all of the reports. On the whole I have to say by the vast members the support the FS rules, they cant be that bad;)

You sure?
Cause I swear that this was you...

No, we already got it sorted. I am just correcting his statement.

And the point is? All mods can give infractions to members despite the section. They just can't edit posts or delete threads that they don't moderate in.

Doesn't that make the point of "Section Mods" moot and abusive at times?

Just because I do no mod the section doesnt mean I cant infract for offesnes. Also things have changed in the last 6 months or so, and I leave the job to those in charge and try not to step on any toes. I appologize for you getting caught in the wake, but I am sure the infraction was deserving.

But as your sig reminds me we have already had this discussion, so no need to bring that into this subject further;)

We are trying to make the rules of all of TPU fair and applicable too all, both staff and members.
That is why we are discussing this.
Try to look forward and not back at what has happened before. We are trying to iron all of that out.

Don's wife still gets a warning.

Seriously guys, why do you all think we have rules? Do you really think we do this just to piss you off? I personally care about this community, which is the reason I enforce the rules. I really don't know why taking an appropriate picture prior to posting a thread is too much to ask. :banghead:

Yes, Fly, that is being corrected now. The mods will follow the same rules.

I will say this then...

That remains to be seen. Just like my opinion on Toyota and their proposed/enacted changes.

I will be caching the TPU BST area starting from this date on. I am sure 11TB is enough space to house all of the data.

I think he was trying to show why it is mandatory now, because Don and I had questioned the usefulness of it...

And I do agree that this rule is not being enforced that well...

I believe it was acknowledged that there were inconsistencies regarding the hand written names. The important thing is that we are ALL following the rules now, and are accountable for our actions, members and mods alike.

When my head stops feeling like its about to explode, I will get back to you on this.

I will issue this statement once again-

It yet, remains to be seen.

@ Sneeky, he is abiding by the rules at this moment, a handwritten note has been placed in his FST Thread. So... Good Job Sneeky.
Lets hope the pattern sticks.

everyone in this thread needs to drink a beer eat a slice of pizzza and sleep on it come back clear headed.. hell do that and send me the bill ill write you an I O U

more on topic i say give the mods a damn break :banghead: there usually on top of issues like white on rice and shit on stink... and were all equal now and things are being righted on top of that from what ive seen from are new mods is a much broader and well enforced rule system period but it really comes down to use forum members. your all debating a few tiny things. and some seem to miss the big picture again... go get a drink and if you dont like pizza maybe a twinkie ;) just ease up.. in all seriousness i can see both sides but its a moot point give the mods a chance to do there jobs first we just had new mods appointed and things are starting to even out :toast:
