Seriously though, my current keyboard is this one:

The wrist-rest has got discoloured on the left part where I use the WSAD - the grey there went black :ohwell:

If I'm buying a new one, I'd like one with backlit keys in blue, and of a good brand name (being razer it'll also match with the mouse

)

I actually liked my cheaper, and not quite as good looking Saitek Eclipse better. The key action is better.

Isn't this keyboard specifically made for notebooks? It seems that's how it's being marketed by some online retailers. Is it about the same size as a typical keyboard, or is it smaller?

It's normal sized, uses scissor keys and is gorgeous! In some ways it's similar to the comfort of a Lycosa. I'm very happy with it from typing to gaming. :toast:

can you remove the keys for cleaning?

I switched from the G15 to the Eclipse, liked the G15 better
currently looking into getting a Lycosa also

I too use the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard and absolutely love it. Take it from somebody who has used a Saitek Eclipse, Logitech G15, and Razer Lycosa. Loved the first two, my Lycosa arrived with 6 broken keys, and I have never been happier than with my Illuminated Keyboard, especially since I use a laptop in addition to it, so I have more comfort switching keyboards now.

Lycossa doesn't make it all that easy to remove some of the keys. I popped off the right shift key, and it was a royal pita to get back on properly.

went for the lycosa to replace my G15 and ive gotta say, the worst investment i have ever done.

the lycosa is garbage(have to press the keys hard....and i mean hard, kept getting killed in game because it wasn't responsive enough) and is now sitting on my server and i ended up getting a g19. Love the headphone and microphone port though, that was a nice touch and the back light is very bright.

its the mirror version btw. very dirty because i cba to clean it

Unlike what theyve said i have absolutely no problems with my lycosa besides i kept spilling ravioli on it. It has never been hard for me to clean and i have to all the time or itll get smudgy. Although when i spilled DP in it i had to take off all the arrow keys. Was a bit confusing but not hard to get the keys back on.

Id offer to sell mine since i want a G15 (purely for the screen, or else id keep my Lycosa till it died) but even though it still looks new i HAVE spilt alot of stuff in it and shipping to EU could be costly.

+1 on the Deck, I have an 81-key Ice model and love the crap out of it. There's a difference in the key switches on them though, make sure you buy the Ice (blue) model for the Cherry mechanical switches.

I think you'll be really happy with that keyboard Panther.
